The International Late Night Beginners Why Are You N.U.T.S (Not Using the Steps) meetings began in March 2024 after splitting off from another fellowship when they stopped providing 24 hour (overnight) meetings. Alycia A began these meeting promptly after the 24 hour meetings were shut down to provide a safe space overnight and she promptly had numerous key service team to launch these meetings out. We are not based in any one state, we are truly international! We carry the message of AA to all and are a recovery focused group. Our meetings are largely literature and step based, except on weekends which are music and sobriety meetings, to ensure we focus on our primary purpose: to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. We believe in 2nd and 3rd chances; love & tolerance of others is the code of AA and we follow that deeply in our fellowship.
We have meetings at 1AM, 2:30AM, 4:30AM, 6:00AM EST with fellowship before and after; we close the room down around 7AM EST.
Original Chairs were selected (Alycia A, Patty R, Beth T, Laura N, Lois C, Sam S., and Sarah B.). Format ideas were developed and borrowed from John A., with permission. Ongoing and new script changes were made by Alycia A., Beth T, Patty R. and Nate B. Administrative support was provided by numerous service team members.
Our current fellowship administrative team leaders are: Alycia A. (Treasurer), Patty R. (Secretary & GSR & Intergroup Rep), Laura N , and Charlene G., and Jax, and Chelsea Brown.
We govern ourselves through a regular Community and Business Meeting which is held the last Sunday of each month at 1PM EST. Our business meetings are held frequently and are open to all. We ask that only those who consider themselves to be home group members be allowed to vote at Business Meetings.
